Hey, meet up by the basement steps in the next half-hour. This is important. Do not tell anyone.

[ Anyone currently sharing their room with someone will instead hear the voice echoing in their heads as if through a loudspeaker--and unable to be heard by the other occupants of the room.

By the time the first person arrives, Miata is already sitting at the bottom of the steps, looking anxious. ]

It gets a bit arbitrary, but think of it like your life as a tape. She can rewind and fast-forward all she wants, so while the profile only lists a few things, she can go and pick up your complete biography whenever.

And she will use that to her advantage. Peeking in at people's lives to see their weak points, their shameful secrets, their loved ones--and then threatening them very clearly when she provides motives for killing.

So she would know about that. Figures. [ Better to know now than to know about it later so she can come up with countermeasures. ]

While it seems that we can't stop the murders entirely, I can at least support some people when the motives start showing up. I've already figured out the weakness of at least two people and I want everyone to leave this place without being completely traumatized the whole way through.

[ Or you know. Worse than dead. Because there are plenty of things that can be worse than death. ]

By the way, are we allowed to take that out of this room? [ She. She's gesturing to the bulletproof vests. She kind of wants one. ]

Yeah, that's the other thing--the alternative motives. It goes hand in hand with the footsteps. This town has a way of getting into people's heads. It's really mild right now, but you're gonna get super paranoid and more inclined towards violence as time goes on. Footsteps, hearing very believable noises when you're alone in a room, making you think the others are conspiring against you, spiking up your anger levels to their extremes--especially you Wrath people.

[ Biting her lip ]

It's...true to a certain degree, what with all the ghosts, so keep alert.

I'll have to say no to the vests, sorry. If someone attacks you and she sees you're not bleeding, she'll get suspicious. 'Sides, I'm the only one here with a gun, right now, so you don't have to worry about getting shot, at least.

But I guess that's understandable. So basically the motives might be tailored based on the sins... [ Good to know this is Exactly like the Heartseed bullshit she's been dealing with. ] I think I'll be fine. I'm already paranoid to begin with, so a little more should be fine.

[ Although attacking people might be more worrisome. Hm. ]

By the way, in regards to the immunity -- does that count for those motives as well or is it only in regards to death?

It's only about the deaths, yep. If someone tries to attack them, they'll get repelled, but really it just makes committing a murder for them even easier. Their victim won't be able to fight back.
