So yeah, she's rushing right on in there.]

Once they reach the police station, Vegeta will hesitate for effect and then walk towards the jail cell.] This way. I smell blood.
no subject
Is that so...? I do not smell anything.
[And she should be rather used to the scent of blood, but if there's a gory crime scene, she should've noticed something already.]

Vegeta walks in to the room and puts on the gloves he'd left there before, knife close by.] But there isn't any blood yet anyway, you're right.
no subject
Still, she's wary for a number of reasons now as she steps into the room as well.]
Still, we should have heard some--
[.... Gloves? Her fingers tighten on her spell tome, eyes narrowing.]
What are you doing?
no subject
[Vegeta picks up the knife, turns around and smirks at Selena.] Thank you for being so cooperative. If you have any preferences as to how I'm going to kill you, feel free to let me know.

[She flips open the tome with a grim expression on her face, though she doesn't bother to try to run or back down.]
I have no intentions of dying here today. Though this has truly devolved into madness, I will kill if I have to to stay alive as well.
[Though...she doesn't know how she'll fare against someone who punches holes!! In walls!! So she's really not going to hesitate to lift her hands, fingers surrounded by a soft glow, to launch a fire spell at him. She's got limited uses here, even more so than usual, but she can't worry about that right now.
Survival is paramount.]

So that's how your powers work. I wonder how well you'd fare without that book.
[And suddenly Vegeta goes from five feet away to directly in front of her, make an attempt at smacking the book out of her hands.]
no subject
He's right in front of her, she has to be able to hit him this time, right?]
no subject
There's a sharp tap on the side of Selena's neck, hard enough to knock her out completely.]
no subject
But yeah, she didn't stand a chance--he's there and then he's gone, and then she's hitting the ground, tome tumbling from suddenly nerveless fingers as his blow does its work.]

Vegeta remains focused on Selena, watching her for a moment to make sure she doesn't wake up. When she doesn't, he nods to himself and walks over to grab a nearby, convenient broom. He uses it to hit Selena sharply on the forearm of the arm she was using to hold the tome. He does it again on the same shoulder. He's not hitting hard to break any bones, but it's enough that it should leave a pretty bad bruise, Vegeta thinks. Humans can be so weirdly delicate. When he's done he absentmindedly tosses the broom onto the worst patch of fire currently raging.
Once that's done, Vegeta kneels down next to Selena with the knife. The first thing he does is slice open her stomach through her clothes. He's careful not to get any blood on himself, but it doesn't matter if it gets on the latex gloves. He watches her bleed out for a while. Then he moves up to her throat and slices sharply across there, finally killing the woman. There, that should hopefully look more like a sword than a knife, though it has been a while since Vegeta used either to kill someone himself.
It's been a while since he killed anyone at all.
He shakes his head to clear out that thought, focusing again on the task at hand. It's obvious there's been a fight here now (the fire still burns around him, but it's still not bad enough that Vegeta has to be concerned) and he needs to make it clear he wasn't involved. Perhaps by making it obvious that he was involved. Vegeta puts the knife down and moves at super speed towards the school house. It takes him a second to get there, about thirty to find what's left of the glitter (ugh) and a very careful minute to pour a handful of pink glitter onto the palm of his hand. He's been able to wash the worst of it off this past week and a half, but he's still obviously sparkly.
Vegeta very carefully makes his way back to the police station, pocketing one of Urashima's paper cranes on his way out. Once he gets there he very carefully rubs the glitter onto Selena's hands, making a pretty thick coating of pink glitter on them. Way too much to just come from touching Vegeta in the middle of a fight. Vegeta stands up and very carefully takes off the latex gloves, covered in blood and glitter by now, turning them inside out. Then he walks out of the cell and tosses them out the station front door, so they can land in the snow somewhere further away and be found later.
You know, maybe Vegeta should be more concerned about the fire. It's finally starting to pick up and really get into all that lovely, hardwood floor and furniture. He walks back into the cell, eyes it for a moment, and then holds out his hands, focusing his energy carefully. A combination of weird pressure and strong wind picks up, focused on the flames and dousing many of them. Vegeta stops before the fire is completely eliminated, since that will be a good way to attract attention and wake everyone up soon. He kneels down to collect Selena's tome, just in case it's secretly explosive too. When he does, he notes that some of her blood is still on it. Huh. He also quickly fishes out her keys from her pocket or wherever else she keeps those, and the knife from where he left it. As an afterthought, he carefully picks up a small, burnt piece of wood up as well.
Vegeta walks out of the cell and picks the keys up off their hook on the stairway. Then he turns back around, closes the door of the cell and locks it. There's no real reason for this, but it should give everyone something to talk about. He tosses the keys underneath the desk in the lobby before walking back outside. On his way back to the hotel he stops to drop the paper crane into a snow drift, still fairly close to the station, but he's moving very fast now. In the kitchen he cleans the knife quickly and thoroughly before putting it away again. Then he heads upstairs, quickly stopping by Faize's door to rub a small streak of charcoal on the frame with the piece of wood he picked up. Then he returns to the third floor, lets himself in to Selena's room and looks around to see if there's anything else he can do here. There's nothing much there, but he does find her journal and decides to leave it open on her desk, Xerxes Break's profile for all the world to see.
He's not sure what to do with her tome- he can hardly leave it here stained in blood. He's running low on time now, so he opens Selena's window and throws the book out as far away as he can. Which is pretty far. Then he shuts the window and wonders why his heart is beating so strangely. Must be the rush of killing after so long. He quietly exits Selena's room and goes back to his own. Safe.
... Except he just remembered that he still has Selena's keys. With a sigh, he opens his own window and throws them into the void. Times like this he would appreciate super strength making that possible, if he even thought about it for a moment.]
