Who: Miata and the moles
What: Everyone's having a very bad.....Time
When: Week 1, Tuesday night

[ As Miata mentioned to Rhys, the basement continues to be open to the mole group after midnight. Anyone coming down there on Tuesday night will find Miata sitting on the couch and reading a book, having switched out of her regular clothes for jeans, a hoodie, and a t-shirt with...a photorealistic piece of pizza on it. Evidently her daywear is not of her own choosing.

She lifts a hand up in greeting to anyone coming in, marking her page and setting the book down.]

I dunno, maybe everyone's too bored to murder anyone at this point.

[ roxy is laying on the floor looking at the chalkboard upside down, as if that will reveal the secrets of who's gonna do what to who for how many cookies ]

And we figured out that... uh... [ pause ] chalkboards are useful?

... Miata did say we couldn't prevent the murders...

But we haven't been able to find a clear possible suspect, either. At least we were able to narrow it down.

[ THOUGH HARDLY... ]

[ rhys just points a finger encouragingly at roxy! ]

Chalkboards are useful. You're absolutely right, Roxy.

[ is that the nicest thing rhys has ever said to her? probably. but he nods along at alisha, running a hand through his hair and frowning back at the board. ]

Still, it'd be better if we could try and narrow it down. But none of us here are like, detectives, are we? Oh my god, we are super not detectives.

[Lithuania looks extremely distracted by this point in the week. It feels like she's been here for centuries, and when things get to a scale even she would call long, it's difficult to focus on the lives of any one group of mortals that isn't her own.

But, no, she has to focus.] It's difficult to perform this sort of deduction when no crime has happened. [It's not like someone is just going to approach them and say they're murderously bored or something.]

[ rhys saying something nice?? that's scary ]

Thaaaat is true, which sucks ass. We can't solve shit without shit to solve. We don't have all the pieces to the metaphorical bullshit puzzle.

It really is like that, honestly. If we don't have the pieces, it's hard to come up with an answer. Besides, it's possible that the motive wasn't tailored to one specific person to begin with, but hell if I know. I'm so mind reader; all I've done is deal with bullshit like this back home.

While I don't mean to imply that anyone's death should be seen as simply a way to gain information, we will know more about what to look for beforehand after we see how things occur the first time. [Also, hopefully their brains will all be in correct timekeeping order.]

Hah, figures. We have to wait for someone to die once just to see how to even do anything here. This is so -- so stupid.

[ and then he just sort of drops down on the couch to sulk, yeah. ]

Replace stupid with "bullshit" and you pretty much have my thoughts on the matter. I don't like the idea of twiddling my thumbs just waiting for someone to die. It pisses me off.

And yet "keep waiting" seems to be the whole theme of this--[half a millennium]--week.
