Who: Miata and the moles
What: Everyone's having a very bad.....Time
When: Week 1, Tuesday night

[ As Miata mentioned to Rhys, the basement continues to be open to the mole group after midnight. Anyone coming down there on Tuesday night will find Miata sitting on the couch and reading a book, having switched out of her regular clothes for jeans, a hoodie, and a t-shirt with...a photorealistic piece of pizza on it. Evidently her daywear is not of her own choosing.

She lifts a hand up in greeting to anyone coming in, marking her page and setting the book down.]

Ah, something like that... [She's no psychologist, either, but it's not outside the realm of possibility.] It might be a good idea to keep an eye on how he's doing on that front, then.

....Yeah. I can definitely do that. My friends also have been through traumatic experiences, so I can at least support. To be honest, I have ideas as to the root of his traumas, but I don't want to offer that possibility to him. I'd rather not be the villain.

[ She smiles, somewhat strained. ] In any case, I can watch over and see how he reacts, or ask of he ever gets any memories back...

Make sure you don't let him get too strained while the two of you are alone. I'd hate for you to get hurt. [Or, you know, killed.]

I'll try my best. Hopefully the next motive has nothing to do with my sin, because then I'll have to hope I don't kill him.

[ something occurs to rhys then, who has been mostly oh my god i don't care through this whole bit. but at inaba's correlation, a sort of lightbulb strikes over his head. ]

If the motives have to do with the sins, wouldn't that make this whole... time thing -- wouldn't that make one of the people involved be sloth?

Hm. Wouldn't sloths be better at dealing with being bored AF?

It would depend on which definition of sloth they're using--it can also refer to things like depression. The people we would be looking at for this theory would be Hanyuu, Yoite, Lucy Steel, Kaguya Houraisan, Satori Komeiji, Sans, and Sadie Swenson.

That's true. And it's a fairly big pool of people.

Hanyuu seems sweet, Yoite seems... IDK, like he's got some kind of issues but in a sad way. Satori's got a literal third eye but it's borked. Sans seems cool but, uh, he's a skeleton. I can't say whether any of them seem murder-y or not.

[ Dryly: ]

Hanyuu's nice, but she kind of... talked to her sword. Also Sans is very punny.

That's... different. The sword didn't talk back, did it?

[ Because then clearly the sword would tell Hanyuu to stab someone. ]

It didn't.

[ As far as she knows, anyway. ]

That's a possibility.

[ speaking up once she returns from the storage area of the basement with bottled water for everyone. She sets the bottles down on the table and slumps back onto the couch. ]

[ and as he updates the chalkboard once more, he gestures to miata. ]

[ REACHES OVER AND PINCHES HIS NOSE. STOP BEING SO SASSY. ]

One, I fucking can't unless you want my boss being suspicious, and two, I don't know everything.

[ Stepping back and frowning. ]

I don't know who this motive is tailored to. I don't know who any of them will be targeting until someone's already dead, and she gives me the list of suspects.

[ oh my god?? ow. he swats at her hand before covering his nose. chill out, miata!! ]

[ But you tried and that's all that matters. ]

Anyway, back to talking about the motive: everyone's disorientation isn't the same, is it? Like if two of us counted to thirty, would someone finish faster than the other....? If that's the case and someone figures out about it, wouldn't they be able to take advantage of that and kill someone that way?

Objectively, time doesn't move any differently. I'd imagine if we were told to count up to thirty, one number per second, you would finish long before me, but if we weren't limited like that, it should be around the same time. [Unless someone rushes or goes slowly or whatever, but that's not the point.] It could be used to make figuring out any timelines for murder difficult, though. How long things are taking is--nebulous, without keeping an eye on a clock.

It could also be used for pretty mrobid shit, too, but I'd rather not think about it.

[ She'll be disgusted by whoever even tries. ]

By the way, I was wondering, and this is a bit off topic... we haven't seen it in action since nobody's tried, but- [ takes a glance at Miata ] the immunity doesn't only apply for physical acts of violence, does it?

What do you mean?

I'm talking specifically about a scenario where the one who's immune tries eating a poison apple, for example. Would nothing happen to them?

That should be the case, yeah. Poison just...wouldn't work.
